耶穌閣講:「一咧人有兩咧囝。細漢的共老爸講:『阿爸,多琅汝共我應該得著的業產分予我。』伊的老爸著共業產分予伊人。過無幾日,細漢的娶伊到了有的去真遠的所在放蕩,烏白開鐳。

伊到了物件開了了的時,拄好許咧所在發生大饑荒,伊著變做無鐳。了,伊著去依倚許咧所在的一咧人,許咧人著送伊去田埔內飼豬。伊枵甲想擎豬食的豆筴來止枵,焦比呠無人擎物件予伊食。

過後,伊知醒,講:『我的阿爸有按呢濟工人,伊人攏有賰物件食,我著愛佇這爿枵死咩!我愛起來,轉去我的老爸彼爿,共伊講:阿爸,我得罪了天,呠得罪了汝。從今以後,我無資格叫做汝的囝,共我當做一咧工人著好。』

了,伊起來轉去伊老爸許爿。焦比離茨閣真遠,伊老爸看著,感覺可憐,走過去攬伊的頷摩頸,直直共伊噆。囝著共伊講:『阿爸,我得罪了天,呠得罪了汝。從今以後,我無資格做汝的囝。』

焦比老爸共奴才講:『較猛擎上好的長袍予伊穿。共伊掛手指佮共伊穿鞋。了牽許隻肥牛囝來刣。我人來食桌慶祝。因為我這咧囝是死了閣活;失了閣趁的。』伊人著開始慶祝。

許咧時,大囝佇田埔內。伊轉來愛到茨的時,聽著有歌跳舞的聲。所以伊叫一咧奴才過來,問看是何物代誌。許咧奴才答:『汝兄弟來了;汝老爸因為伊平安轉來,著共肥牛囝刣了。』

大囝氣遑毋愛入去,伊老爸著出來苦勸伊。伊對老爸講:『汝看!我服侍汝按呢濟年,毋捌做出毋順汝的代誌,汝一隻羊囝呠無予我來共朋友做鬧熱。焦比汝這咧囡仔共汝的業產開佇雞的身上。伊一轉來,汝著為伊刣掉肥牛囝!』

老爸對伊講,『囝啊!汝定定攏佇我的身軀爿,我的到了攏是汝的。焦比汝這咧兄弟是死了閣活;失了閣趁的,所以我人歡喜慶祝是應該的。』」

Iâ-Soo koh kóng: "tsi̍t-lê-lâng ū nōo-lê-kiánn. Sè-hàn ê ka lāu-pēe kóng: 'a-pa, to-lông lú kā wá eng-kai tek-tio̍h ê gia̍p-sán pun hōo wá.' I ê lāu-pēe tio̍h kā gia̍p-sán pun hōo i-lâng. Kuè bô kuí ji̍t, sè-hàn ê tshuā i kà-liáu ū-ê khì tsin-huinn ê sóo-tsāi hòng-tōng, oo-pe̍eh khai lui.

I kà-liáu mi̍h-kiānn khai liáu-liáu ê sî, tú-hó há-lê sóo-tsāi huat-seng tuā-ki-huinn, i tio̍h piàn-tsò bô-lui. Liáu , i tio̍h khì i-uá há-lê sóo-tsāi ê tsi̍t-lê-lâng, há-lê-lâng tio̍h sàng i khì tshân-poo lāi tshī tu. I iau kah siāunn giâ tu tsia̍h ê tāu-ngeh lâi tsí-iau, ta-pí pún bô-lâng giâ mi̍h-kiānn hōo i tsia̍h.

Kuè-āu, i tsai-tshénn, kóng: 'wá ê a-pa ū án-nee tsē kang-lâng, i-lâng lóng ū tshun mi̍h-kiānn tsia̍h, wá tio̍h-ài tī tsit pêng iau sí měe! Wá ài khí-lâi, tuínn-khì wá ê lāu-pēe há-pêng, ka i kóng: a-pa, wá tek-tsuē liáu thinn, pún tek-tsuē liáu lú. Tsiông-kim-í-āu, wá bô tsu-keeh kiò-tsò lú ê kiánn, ka wá tòng-tsò tsi̍t-lê kang-lâng tio̍h hó. '

Liáu, i khí-lâi tuínn-khì i lāu-pēe há-pêng. Ta-pí lî tshù koh tsin-huīnn, i lāu -pēe khuànn-tio̍h, kám-kak khó-liân, tsáu kuè-khì lám i ê ām-mōo-kún, ti̍t-ti̍t ka i tsim. Kiánn tio̍h ka i kóng: 'a-pa, wá tek-tsuē liáu thinn, pún tek-tsuē liáu lú. Tsiông-kim-í-āu, wá bô tsu-keeh tsò lú ê kiánn.'

Ta-pí lāu-pēe ka lôo-tsâi kóng: 'khām-mée giâ siōng-hó ê tn̂g-phâu hōo i tshēng. Ka i kuà tshiú-tsí kah ka i tshêng ê. Liáu khan hit-tsiah puî-gû-kiánn lâi thâi. Wá-lâng lâi tsia̍h-toh khèng-tsiok. In-uī wá tsit-lê-kiánn sī sí-liáu koh ua̍h; sit-liáu koh thàn ê.' I-lâng tio̍h khai-sí khèng-tsiok.

Há-lê sî, tuā-kiánn tī tshân-poo lāi. I tuínn-lâi ài kàu tshù ê sî, thiann-tio̍h ū kua thiàu-bú ê siann. Sóo-í i kiò tsi̍t-lê lôo-tsâi kuè-lâi, muī-khuànn sī há-mi̍h tāi-tsì. Há-lê lôo-tsâi ta̍p, 'lú hiann-tī lâi liáu; lú lāu-pēe in-uī i pêng-an tuínn-lâi, tio̍h ka puî-gû-kiánn thâi liáu .'

Tuā-kiánn khì-hōng m̄-ài ji̍p-khì, i lāu -pēe tio̍h tshut-lâi khóo-khuìnn i. I tuì lāu-pēe kóng: 'lú khuànn! Wá ho̍k-sāi lú án-nee tsē nî, m̄-bat tsò-tshut bô sūn lú ê tāi-tsì, lú tsi̍t-tsiah iâunn-kiánn pún bô hōo wá lâi ka pêng-iú tsò lāu-jua̍h. Ta-pí lú tsit-lê gín-á ka lú ê gia̍p-sán khai tī ke ê sin-siōng. I tsi̍t tuínn-lâi, lú tio̍h uī i thâi-tiāu puî-gû-kiánn!'

Lāu-pēe tuì i kóng, 'kiánn a! Lú tiānn-tiānn lóng tī wá ê sin-khu-pêng, wá ê kà-liáu lóng-sī lú ê. Ta-pí lú tsit-lê hiann-tī sī sí-liáu koh ua̍h; sit liáu koh thàn ê, sóo-í wá-lâng huānn-hí khèng-tsiok sī eng-kai ê. '"

Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.

After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’

So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’

The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’

My son, the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
